The Advisory Committee on Textbook Adoptions will hold two public hearings prior to voting on the textbooks submitted for the 2008 Social Studies adoption at its meeting on September 3, 2008.  The first public hearing is scheduled for Friday, July 11, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Department of Education.  The second public hearing is Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Government Center South Conference Room.  Written comments can also be sent to Linda Dierstein, 151 West Ohio, Indianapolis, IN 46204.

The Official Social Studies Adoption List will be in the superintendent’s mail in the middle of September.  The list will also be posted on the textbook adoption website at <www.doe.in.gov>.  Click on the K-12 School Data section and scroll down to Textbook Adoption website.
